Biography of Dr. Samuel Kratchman
Dr. Sam Kratchman was born and raised in New York. He received a B.S. in Biology and a D.M.D. both from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Sam then entered the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a certificate of endodontics, and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Endodontics and the Assistant Director of Graduate Endodontics, in charge of the microsurgical portion of the program.
Dr. Kratchman has authored several articles and chapters on endodontics and intentional replantation for the Microsurgery in Endodontics textbook, and the Dental Clinics of North America. He also developed a patented instrument called the S Kondenser for the obturation of root canals. Both Main Line Today and Doctor of Dentistry magazine honored Dr. Kratchman as the cover story for their "Best of" issues.
Dr. Kratchman has lectured on several topics of endodontics throughout the United States, Europe, Scandinavia, South America, and Asia. He also maintains two private practices, limited to endodontics, in Exton and West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Biography of Dr. Kenneth Lee
Kenneth Lee, D.M.D has provided Endodontic care to Chester County residents since 1998. He earned his undergraduate and dental degrees at The University of Pennsylvania. After spending a year of residency at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Dr. Lee came back to The University of Pennsylvania to received his certificate of Endodontics.
Dr. Lee was honored in both Philadelphia Magazine and Mainline Today as "Top Doc" in the field of Endodontics. Dr. Lee is a member of American Dental Association and American Association of Endodontists. Also, he belongs to Pennsylvania Dental Society and Chester/Delaware County Dental Society.
Dr. Lee serves as an Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is a clinical instructor for both dental students and Endodontic residents.
Dr. Lee resides in Chester county with his wife and three children.
Biography of Dr. Allen Yang
Dr. Allen Yang was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. He received his D.D.S. from National Yang-Ming University in Taipei where he was awarded the best intern doctor. Allen then entered the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a certificate of endodontics and his D.M.D., and continues to serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.
After exploring life in Northern Virginia for almost four years where Allen was voted the top endodontist in the area, he and his family decided to move back to Philadelphia, where it always felt like home. He is actively involved in the Chester County and Delaware County Dental Society, helping members connect with other colleagues through organized dentistry. Main Line Today has honored Dr. Yang as one of the area's Top Endodontists.
Dr. Yang and his wife, Laura, have two children, Bethany and Byron. They enjoy music, travelling, Philadelphia sports, and spending family time together.
Biography of Dr. Ameir Eltom
Dr. Eltom received his doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific School of dentistry in San Francisco, California. He graduated with honors and was awarded the “Dean’s Salutatorian” award, and was inducted into the TKO honor society.
He then completed a one year AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency, where he worked with children and adults with disabilities and gained valuable experience in hospital dentistry. He was awarded the “Best resident award for the highest degree of professionalism with patients, staff and faculty”.
Dr. Eltom spent the next 2 years in private practice in the San Francisco Bay area. In 2010 he joined the Endodontics Department at the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his specialty training, and was awarded the “Grossman’s award for outstanding proficiency in the endodontics graduate program”.
Dr. Eltom is a part time faculty member in the University of Pennsylvania school of dental medicine, and is pursuing board certification in endodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and Chester County Dental Society.
Dr. Eltom is a soccer enthusiast and enjoys outdoor activities in his free time.
